Hi
I Have finally managed to take care of the pictures from my camera. I did publish diary pictures along the way on Instagram so these are just the camera pics. First Salvador and then Primitivo.

Link to the album: https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/ BéatriceKarjalainen/albums/6085368677088994881

Link to the instagram pics: http://searchinstagram.com/beascamino2014 (unfortunately the service inserts ads in the picture stream). You can also go to http://instagram.com/beastankar and scroll down to the camino pics.

Thanks Beatrice. Loved them , and found it a wonderful escape; enjoying a 'virtual walk over the mountains ', on the ways, whilst having a 'morning cuppa' here in Oz on a pleasant pre Christmas Saturday morning ...

Very motivating and food for thought (plans.............)
Buen Camino , Annie

Hola, Beatrice,

Liked the photos very much since those two routes are also on my bucket list (in combination with Vasco del Interior and part of CF). I watched them on google link and the bluish flower on photo no.48 might be Crocus vernus.
Thanks for sharing!

Beatrice:

Very nice pictures and thank you for sharing. The Salvador pictures make me yearn to walk it again in clement weather. Most of my pictures are in Fog, rain mud and snow. The walk was still beautiful but your appears much more enjoyable.

Ultreia,
Joe

thanks for the photos, great memories they bring!

actually, leaving Leon is not so ugly and horrible at all, there are lots of other much uglier departures and entries in towns (Burgos, for example)

the valley of Bernesga is a BEAUTIFUL place in spring, full of color and life (we were there in may, and we found snow in that area, before coming to Cabanillas). I hope you have a second chance to see this valley in all its splendor

on picture number 48, I think that is crocus sativus, or saffron

Really a pity you were not able to visit Santa Cristina de Lena, you missed some amazing space there, pity.

thanks a lot for the photos, they made me start my Sunday better (back to work now :(

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Thanks for your kind comment.
@anniethenurse came up with the correct name, in Swedish it is Tidlösa and in latin Colchicum autumnale L. Medow saffron or autumn crocus in English. Poisonous, acts like arsenic.

Thanks for you comment. I agree with you going in to Burgos was worse (but next time I'll try the scenic route by the water. Coming in to León isn't so nice either going through that industrial area.

I'll go back in spring one day and make sure to be at Santa Cristina de Lena when it is open. I really want to visit that church.

Wonderful photos Beatrice, I'm seriously thinking of this route (or the Norte) for 2016. Your photos are really swaying me towards the Camino del Salvador.

Great pictures, looking at them makes me very, very restless... Its a Monday morning here in Scotland, its snowing and I just had to change a flat tire on my car to get my daughter to school, and when I see these shots of the camino I yearn to be back on these trails again. The salvador and primitivo are definitely on the list to do in the future. Thanks for sharing these.

Thank you both. It was a lovely walk. I recommend it!

Beatrice wonderful pictures. Now I have a question for you. On the Primativo as well as the salvador how much road walking is there? Thank you for the info in advance.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Beatrice, many thanks for sharing your photos in Picasa. I have only been looking at the photos until Roncesvalles and I am already rapt as the pics reminded me of how beautiful the Camino is.
