May-July 2023 (solo)
May-July 2026
in summer 2026! I walked solo in 2023 and when I returned home, I had my oldest daughter's wedding to focus on as it was just a few weeks after completing my Camino on July 1st 2023! After that, I was sucked back into the real world. It was only a few months later than I realized I wanted to go again. At that time I made a post here about maybe 2028 but a lot changed since then.

I began traveling more. My wife is a teacher and she chaperones trips for her students. I went with her as a chaperone to Denmark and loved it. I'm going again with her April 2025 to Greece and April 2026 to Paris. But I missed the Camino. My 2nd oldest daughter and I began talking about trips and she wanted to do a trip after she graduates from her university and before she starts med school. She made a comment that the Camino sounded great and I asked would she want to do it with me? She got excited and said yes. To be honest, being able to do the Camino again was great but going with someone this time would be even better. Getting this much time with my daughter made it perfect. I know she'll be busy with med school and I wouldn't be surprised if she isn't engaged by then as well. Having some time with my girl before she's permanently off in her own world is going to be a great experience.

How special that she wants to walk with you. I'm sure it will be a treasured time.

I have 3 daughters and a son. She's the 2nd oldest and was always the one who wanted to do what Dad did so I'm glad to have one last hurrah with her before I lose her to med school studying haha.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

Consider yourself a lucky man. My son is a very interesting kind of person. Travels a lot. Likes mediation and nature, art, writing, sport, poetry but... doesn't like to hike. That is quite sad for me, although I fully understand we are different. And respect that.
