Mobile phone-02.UK sim card

Dear Forum members,

I have limited IT knowledge and use of mobile phone.

My question is: Has anyone from the UK with 02.UK sim card used their mobile in Spain for CF? Just want to confirm the Euro Zone roaming coverage roaming as per their website:

"We cover roaming in our Europe Zone as part of our Tariffs. So your data (subject to a roaming limit), minutes and text allowances will work in our Europe Zone, just like they do at home."

Does this mean that if I have a 02.UK mobile phone (prepaid sim card), I can use it for CF?

Thank you very much.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Yes. Might be worth checking exactly what that “roaming limit” on data is, details will be on their website. Worth also checking their coverage / roaming partners. Orange and Vodaphone are the common providers in Spain. Try to only do data heavy surfing when you have wee-fee

From O2 prepay roaming rules:

When you use data in our Europe Zone it will come out of your allowance, or be charged just like it would be in the UK.

Prices for usage outside of your allowance:

Data£3/MB up to max £2/day

I think this means you can use as much data as you like for £2 a day, but it isn't very clear. If you buy a package with data, you shouldn't have any extra charges.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
I was looking at this webpage:
From there (or its links) it looks as if they may sometimes throttle your data. Things look really good if you are on their 25 GB plan as you still get this in their Europe zone. If you go over they say that they will charge you £3.50 per GB and they text you warnings about overage beforehand.

Just as an fyi, if you go the other way… from the EU (at least Spain) to the UK, the free roaming rules was just suspended… you now pay old-time roaming in the UK again.

The rules for prepay and contracts are different. The info posted by the OP was for contracts but they said they were actually on a prepaid sim. There is a different menu for the prepay charges, which seem to be as I posted above.

Of course, the info you posted may be useful to other pilgrims.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
