The forum companionship Allan refers to is priceless. Over these years, it has been easy to tell just how much people care about one another whether pre-Camino planning, on the Camino, post-Camino. The best part of this? For no price, reward, promotion. You all give so freely of your time. I think this is the best gift we can give especially during these holidays, time.

Allan, I have always enjoyed your point of view, sense of humor, and patience. Your companionship here is valued. ¡Buen Camino hermano!

Cheers to all,
Simeon

So, here we are again, on the vigil. Tomorrow many of us commemorate that symbolic moment that light entered this world. If you are not religious this does not matter, it is not necessary to view the nativity as history; a myth is there to lead one into an inner moment of surrender where hardness of heart is dissolved, if only for a short while.

To all my brothers and sisters on here, thank you for all you have shared - laughter and tears - you good people.

- Peace - and may the Good God bless each and every one of you.

Merry Christmas

To one and all. As some of us start Christmas day very soon may I take the opportunity to thank you for your companionship on the forum during the last year, to wish you a good time during the festive season and to have a safe and injury free Camino Year in 2014.
It's Christmas Eve here in Maine. Even eight weeks after finishing I can imagine walking each and every segment. To those of you en route to Santiago this evening and to all those I encountered, even if only briefly, a blessed Christmas and a healthy and fruitful New Year.

Happy Christmas to all on this brilliant forum. Looking forward to my Camino in Summer of 2014. Thought for the day as I tuck into my Christmas meal: If a dog is for life and not just for Christmas, what about turkeys? :)

Al, a very happy Christmas and a great 2014 wished for you, sorry our plans to meet on route in 2013 and do the Dragonte were waylaid by my impatience and wishing all peregrinos present and future a blister free 2014.
Hoping by the end of January to have booked flights for myself and my 3 1st time peregrino companions for a 7/9 day camino starting either from Triacastela so they can spend their 1st night in Samos if the 9 day break works or the Primitive from Lugo if confined to the shorter time frame.

If I am walking with two other men, each of them will serve as my teacher. I will pick out the good points of the one and imitate them, and the bad points of the other and correct them in myself.
