I apologize for not posting about this sooner.
Memphis, TN, USA has a month-long festival that celebrates the culture and history of a chosen country. This year's country is Spain! As part of that celebration, a gallery in downtown Memphis is displaying a exhibit on pilgrimage:
Exhibit: Sacred Steps - Pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago.
Joysmith Gallery & Studio. 46 Huling Ave +1(901)543-0505.
A traveling exhibit from William & Mary celebrating the experience of
modern pilgrims from the USA and Canada retrace the paths to Santiago
de Compostela.
I've called the gallery about their duration of the exhibit and their
hours of operation. She says the exhibit will be up through June 1st.
Her comments regarding their hours of operation were less clear - I
think she thinks today is Saturday. At any rate, they are open
1-7:30PM Thur- Sat., and 10-2 Sun & Mon, but she also suggested
calling before coming down, since Memphis in May brings much chaos to
the area.
I have seen reference to an exhibit on the work of Gaudi as well, but I have not been able to find an online reference to it yet.
If you are in Memphis, TN, USA or traveling to Memphis to take part in the festivities, please write me directly: I would be pleased to make your acquaintance.
Kind regards,
Jim Greer
