My 3 companions and I are meeting our driver upon arrival at the Madrid airport. We are flying in on American from ORD. Is anyone familiar with the airport who could recommend a good spot for us to meet him? I think we arrive in terminal T4.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Hi, kmccue,
There are a lot of maps of the Madrid airport, like this one, showing T4 arrivals area, http://www.aena.es/csee/Satellite?L...poi=1136998287312&ps=t&swidth=747&sheight=456

but if it were me I'd ask the taxi company to tell you where to meet since they obviously know the airport extremely well. When I arrive in T4, I frequently see people holding signs with the names of arriving passengers, maybe that's the best way to connect.

Buen camino, Laurie

p.s. You will arrive in T4 if you fly Iberia or any One World Alliance airline, all others are relegated to the older terminals.

Hi Laurie, I'm being met at the train station in Pamplona so have also made a sign with my name, so they can spot me.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
If you are being met at an airport, the driver will stand where you cannot miss him, just at the exit, holding up the name of the booking on a card or sheet of paper. you are very unlikely to miss him/her.

Madrid (Barajas ) has many exits, depending which terminal you arrive.
My suggestion is to inform the taxi driver your flight number, carrier, ETA and your arrival terminal. They will then tell you where to meet!

That's sensible Annakappa. The last time that I did it was at Malaga where I think that all international flights come into one terminal.
Thank you for the further suggestion.
