In Grau/Grado there is an ancient market dating from 1256 every Wednesday & Sunday from el Parque de Abajo hasta la plaza General Ponte. It is a lively well attended and well known market in Asturias filled with seasonal local produce, cider, cheeses, pastries, sweets, artesanal breads, and local booze. What’s not to like?

The Grado market was one of the best I have ever seen and I walked away with pears and walnuts-- only the hiker's sanity prevented me from picking up wheels of cheese and vats of honey.
