Maps and guide books available in St.Jean Pied-du-Port?

hi,

i'll be flying out tommorrow to do the camino. i have a rather big, text-only book on the camino, and a book on northern spain.
i'm taking the northern spain book, but am wondering if guide books and maps are available in St.JeanPiedduPort.

if so, where at?

Well, I remember all sorts of small shops with Camino-themed merchandise at St. Jean. So, I imagine that there will be some guidebooks available in them (although to be safe, I'd purchase a guidebook before leaving home). There are also maps and guidance available at the Pilgrim Office as well, from folks who speak various languages. :arrow:

Hi Paul

In St Jean the Pilgrim's Office have some materials including a detailed map they will give you of the first stage. In most albergues for a few centimes you can pick up a stage by stage map which shows the elevations. The route is generally well way marked.
