Personally, I don't want to have to spend my time in Santiago (or anywhere while I'm traveling) shopping for clothes. I have a hard enough time finding things I like at home! That's not to say that I wouldn't buy a shirt or dress that catches my eye while I'm sightseeing. But shopping for everyday items is more of a chore.No but I wonder why you're mailing a suitcase? If it's for after-Camino clothes, why not just shop in Santiago? Great shopping. Great prices if you get out of the tourist area.
You can probably also hire one of those luggage transfer services so make sure it gets there and compare costs. I think if you are minimal you'll be able to find really cheap clothes especially at places like Primark. Post will run you around €60 is my best guess and a private transfer about the same or maybe a bit less. Private transfer will offer door to door and even date specific options. You will have to contact them directly for long distance transfer, versus stage transfer, but it is available. At least two great places are recommended here. Easy to find in search.
