Could someone give me a step by step on how to get to Alsa bus station on Ave de America from the Airport? Thought about taxi, but really have no clue which is easiest.

Hi, dduroy,

You have several options in addition to taxi.

There is a bus direct from the airport that goes to Av. Americas -- if you arrive in T4, it'll be Bus 200; in the other terminals, it's Bus 204 I believe. I've done that before and it is really hassle-free and not crowded.

Then there's the metro, take it to Mar de Cristal, where you will have to change to Line 4, in the direction "Arguelles," and from there it's 7 more stops to the Av. Americas bus station.

There are also many buses heading north from Madrid that stop at the airport (but only at T4, I think), so you could avoid going into town. The Alsa schedule shows them pretty clearly, I think.

The line 200 sounds easy enough. Is it easy to find in the airport?

Hi, again,

I don't know if this link will bring you to the map, but if it does, the pulsating circle shows where the 200 bus stops in T1 -- http://www.aena-aeropuertos.es/cartogra ... height=633 (this is on the arrivals floor).

For T2, here's the location: http://www.aena-aeropuertos.es/cartogra ... height=633

I think that essentially the stop is just outside the arrivals area in both terminals.

And I misspoke in my earlier post -- it is also the bus 200 that stops in T4. All information in Spanish here:

Now there are some busses to Pamplona that actually stop at T4 ........if thats what you were thinking of?

Traveling to Burgos Renshaw. They do have buses from T4, but my arrival would keep me waiting too long at T4 for the bus to Burgos. Quicker to go to the station at Ave de America.
