Lyon Airport - Lyon Part Dieu

Trying to figure out the quickest way to get to Lyon Part Dieu train station from the Lyon Airport. My flight gets in about 15:20 and I need to catch the 17:20 train to Le Puy.

Anybody know what the quickest mode of transport would be (not a taxi ;-).

The former bus between Lyon's Saint Exupéry airport and downtown has been replaced by tram line "Rhonexpress", operating from Part Dieu train station with 2 stops in between. 1 tram very 15 minutes, journey below 30 minutes. Fare 13 euros one way, 23 euros round trip

But a taxi might be your best bet. Lyon is a smallish city, and the Part-Dieu train station is smack in the center of downtown.

I had to giggle a bit: the title suggests: Lyon Airport - Lyon Part God. Part Two would be Part Deux. One may hope to be with God when flying at times given turbulence, but one truly looks to move onto the second half of the story.

I have booked a train on the TGV Europe site leaving an hour later at 18:21 to Le Puy just to be sure. Hopefully the ticket machines in Part Dieu are easy to find as I don't speak a word of french.

Hi. It's real easy. You take the Rhone Express, an express train that goes directly from the airport to Lyon Part Dieu rail station. It's real easy to find at the airport. It cost about 13 Euros one way and I think it runs every 15 minutes or so. It takes less than 1/2 hr and only has 2 stops. They have kiosks to buy your ticket near the staion at the airport. You shouldn't have any problem. We used it in Sept and Oct before and after our Chemin Le Puy. Dayton, London, Canada
