Luggage carriers

Hi, I would appreciate some advice/suggestions. We are three retired women walking part of the Camino Portugues in May 2019 finishing in Ponte de Lima. I have booked a luggage carrier for our three pieces of luggage. The issue is that on our last day of walking we arrive in Ponte de Lima but we are not staying there and instead travelling back to Porto to return home. I have asked the carrier if there is somewhere our luggage can be left in Ponte de Lima for us to pick up, perhaps the bus station. However I haven't received a reply. An Albergue may be suggested but my concern is that we won't be staying in the Albergue and also that it may not open until until later and we need to catch a bus to Porto. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
An idea could be you send an email to the Ponte de Lima Tourist information.https://www.visitepontedelima.pt/en/contacts/ and ask if they could receive and save your luggage for the timebeing untill you arrive. They are in an antique building, a landmark at the Lima river in the center. We experienced the people as very kind and helpfull.
Where are you coming from before arriving in Ponte de Lima ?
From Casa da Fernanda ?

Btw. I am wondering how you will go back from PdL to Porto.
There is a bus between PdL and Barcelos where you can take the train back to Porto You could ask advise a the touristinformation too because these buses and trains do not run regulairy. Sometime a few times a day.
Btw Ponte de Lima is a beautiful little town , even the oldest town of Portugal and worthwhile staying there and visiting it. But I do not know your itinerary.
Maybe you publish your schedule here .

Hi,
Thank you so much for your reply which is very helpful. Yes three of us are coming from Casa da Fernanda-and one of our group is still looking for accommodation nearby, perhaps Estabulo Valinhas Guesthouse.

We would like to spend some time in Ponte de Lima but have to travel back to Porto that day. However we hope to continue the Camino next year and can spend a little time in P de Lima then.

Maybe this is another idea
I stayed here once. It is 3 kms from Casa Fernanda direction Ponte de Lima and aituated at the waymarked path.
In december 2015 during our stay in Portugal we visited Quinta da Portela in Facha -between Barcelos and Ponte de Lima.

Owner Han Geelen, a Dutch guy , has a beautiful house and offers bed and breakfast and lodging for pilgrims on their way to or from Santiago.
The quinta is on the caminho path.
Have a look at his facebook page facebook.com/quinta.facha

Han is a nice guy ! We visited him together with Fernanda We drank a portwine together and met him the day after at Fernanda's home were we stayed.
If Fernanda is fully booked she phones Han for you if desired,.
There is a collegual cooperation between the different albergues, hostals quintas etc anyway for sure on the stages between Pedra Furada and Valença do Minho I remarked.

Albertinho, sincere apologies for the very slow response. I have not logged on for a long time. We have all, (we are now 4!) booked accommodation now and staying with Fernanda who we are really looking forward to meeting due to the lovely things people say about her and her family. However I am going to take note of the information on Han as it could be very helpful to someone else-I spent a lot of time looking for accommodation in that area. Thanks again for your response.
