Lost Formatting Options?

I seem to have lost access to the menu that allows text formatting, emoticons etc.
maybe I hit the wrong button and turned something off? (idiot look)

They are all just greyed out....... (puzzled look)

Any ideas anyone ? (downcast face)

It doesn’t seem to be a universal problem. in fact I’m finding a huge set range of options which I didn’t know existed before.

I’m sure someone will be along to help shortly.

Could it be that it is just a bit more hidden in sub-menus?

Could it be that your formatting privileges have been circumscribed for offenses committed against good taste?

That happened to me a few days ago. But now I can't remember how I fixed it! It was only on my phone, and I just kept tapping things in the menu.

I know that forum software in a recent update did reorganize the menus... to make them less complicated. They put more things in sub menus instead of having everything displayed at the same time...

If we are missing something, please let me know.

To remedy it, click on the three dots in the top right corner next to the Undo button and then on the square brackets. This will turn things back to normal.

That happens to me occasionally, and somehow I learned to do what @Kathar1na says. As Ivar mentioned, some options were buried in sub menus a few months ago.
