Hey, All!

I got interested in the Camino because I saw a documentary and/or tv show hosted by Robin Leach (lifestyles of the rich and famous guy) about the Camino while in High School (early 90's). As I prepare for my 3rd Camino this summer, I'd really like to see this show again.

Has anyone else seen/heard of this, and could maybe point me in the right direction of where I could watch this again?

Thanks!

Ruth

Holoholo automatically captures your footpaths, places, photos, and journals.
I was curious, so I did a variety of searches, including YouTube, IMDB, various other entertainment search engines, and, of course, using various phrasings and wordings on Google and Bing.

Nothing. No mention of a TV or documentary special, no listing as part of one of Robin Leach's program series, no mention of Leach and the Camino de Santiago at all.

That show seems deeply buried in some obscure corner of the information superhighway.

If it was part of the "Rich and Famous" series, you might try a search using the names of famous people associated with the Camino. Shirley Maclain, Emilos Estevez, Martin Sheen...am sure there are others.

I was just thinking but too lazy to check. Although I am sure there were lots of rich and famous pilgrims and monarchs carried on the Camino through the ages, I doubt it there were many "rich and famous" let alone middle/working class walking the camino in the mid 90's. Possibly the story was about Parador Hotels. There are so many of them on different Camino routes. Maybe the Camino was folded into the story of the history of the Paradors. Just a guess but maybe worth checking out.

The BBC made three Pilgrimage series, Camino Frances, Francigena and the The Sultans trail to Istanbul. Their web site has a number of pilgrimage programs available for viewing. Though licensing issues may stop you accessing them (Hint use a VPN service with the access point set for a UK server)

Perfect memento/gift in a presentation box. Engraving available, 25 character max.
Robin Leach's Wikipedia page 9https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robin_Leach) mentions a couple lifestyle programs. He also hosted the Lifestyles spinoffs Runaway with the Rich and Famous and Fame, Fortune and Romance) that he was involved in - may give a basis for further searches? A quick pass through Google and YouTube didn't give me anything concrete...
