We are doing our next stage of the camino from Logrono to Leon and have the options of flying back home from Santiago or Madrid or Bilbao.
Which of these 3 is the easiest to access ?
I'd say Madrid. Leon is about 4 or 5 hours by bus, or less by train. There are occasional buses from Leon to Barajas airport too. See http://www.alsa.es for information.
Whalleyranger is accurate. After my walk from Madrid to Leon the train was a nice ride back. :wink:
If you're on a tight budget there are different prices for same route i.e. peak hours etc
