Hello, I've just arrived at my hostel in León and the cathedral will be closed before I could get there and the hostel's reception is closed - can anyone recommend a good place to get a sello in the evening? Or should I just ask in some bars?

I am sure that the Madres Benedectinas Albergue will be manned/womanned(!) until lights out and they will surely give you a sello, even if that is not where you are staying. And let me recommend Night Prayer and Pilgrim Blessing there, although it may be too late for you if you are staying in another albergue which closes at 1o. But every time I have been there for Night Prayer there have been pilgrims other than those staying in the albergue. The hospitaleros/as there are exceptionally welcoming, in my experience.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Any shop will also stamp ot. Won't win a beauty contest, bit it will say you were there.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
