LIVE from the Camino Lauren and Natalie Finally on Our Way!

Hi my friends! I just wanted to let you all know that me and my daughter are on our way! We arrived in Porto on June 5th and are in Baiona now!

I received so much help from you all and am very appreciative. I probably wouldn’t have had the courage without your kind words.

I’ve found it quite joyous and relaxing to post to Instagram stories, then highlights each night as my way of winding down. My Instagram account is @laurenligreci if you’d like to follow along!

If you need a little help with Instagram ….
- Stories can be accessed by clicking on the profile pic! They expire after 24 hours, then I move them to the “highlights”
- Highlights are the circles with labels … PORTO, CAMINO 1, CAMINO 2

How are we doing? Pretty good! We are enjoying a rest day in Baiona and head to Vigo tomorrow. Our feet are sore. We just shipped a package to Ivan because we’ve learned after so many days what we can live without. I can tell you it is about 5lbs!

I hope you follow our journey! I’ve already filled 3 highlights and it’s been very enjoyable for me. I’m disconnected during the day and get to journal our day at night.

Yes I appreciate you're posting on Instagram: how about simply copying and pasting the highlights here onto this thread? I long ago decided that I wasn't going to do Facebook, Instagram etc and from many comments here on the forum I am not alone......

Day 1 from Porto to Matishinos!

The next few days, read the caption in the pics!

Day 7: We just had a challenging day from Redondela to Pontevedra. Our biggest km day and it was hilly! We met 2 girls from America and they walked with me up and down the hills and chatted with Natalie. They are my camino angels, I am not sure I could have done it without them! Especially because I twisted my ankle.

Thanks! yes I’m not sure what to do about the ankle but I just took a bath. I bought some baggies, my ask the hotel for ice?

Yes. RICE - rest, ice, compression, elevation. Assume you have a simple stretchy bandage with you. If not, go to a pharmacy in the morning and buy one, and ask for advice.

Thanks! I don’t have one, maybe I’ll wrap it in a towel tonight and head to a pharmacy tomorrow. I tried 2 today and they were closed in Old Town Pontevedra
