Unlike the Francés, it is not common for the albergues on the Portuguese to offer a meal either on the portuguese or spanish side. Some will have kitchens but usually not well furnished.
However in Portugal opening hours are much more broad than in Spain except for late night, we don't stop for the siesta. Having a meal at any time usually isn't a problem, perhaps you'll have fewer options. Many cafes serve food, and these are open throughout the day. By 7PM I expect every restaurant will be up and running.
Regarding pilgrims menus, ask the albergue if there are places nearby that do them or any place nearby they recommend. I've never been disappointed doing this. For example, the firemen's cafe in Barcelinhos do good cheap meals for pilgrims, there are two albergues ~100m away from the firestation.
