Hello,
I will be doing the Camino in a few weeks and have decided to bring along my IPad in order to blog. What concerns me is keeping the IPad dry and free of moisture while it's in my backpack, especially if it rains. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to the Camino.
Thanks
Ray

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
A ziploc bag it weighs next to nothing and works like a charm ... Use your clothes to cushion the ipad inside the pack. I use a ziploc bag to keep my ipad safe on our sailboat and it works well. You can even use it inside the bag if you like as one layer of plastic does not interfere with the touch aspect. Bubble wrap is good if you are worried about impact protection but if water if your only concern I'd definitely go with the ziploc for both the water protection and the ability to keep it protected and still be able to use it.

You can double your protection by using a rain cover for your pack or lining your pack with a large garbage bag then loading all your gear inside the garbage bag inside your pack. That way you keep your clothes dry as well .

I'm going to put mine in a bubble mailing envelope and fold the envelope over.

The only problem I see with that is that it weighs almost a pound. My bubble envelope weighs about 2 ounces.

The specification says 13g :? boxed it weighs 136g I suspect that in reality it is somewhere between the two but nowhere near 1 pound.

Oh! You are right! I misread it as 13 OUNCES.
Oops!

Freezer-weight, gallon-sized ziplock. And be sure to place it in your pack so that other soft bags protect it: that display glass is fragile if it is dropped splat on its face. (applies to Kindles as well)

You can bring along those silica beads that comes with electronic (particularly photo) equipment for your waterproof bag to hold your iPad.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
