Someone in my planning group asked if the parochials are still doing family style meals since COVID and the answer was "I don't know."

Do any of you know the answer?

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

No, Annie. I do not have the answer, although I wish I did. You do not need another headache...

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-

Are the parochials even open now, in all cases? I would guess that it would be a case-by-case situation.

(Sorry for adding to the non-answers!)

Some open .
I took a look at Grañon ( closed ) , Tosantos ( open ) and Bercianos del Real Camino (edit, this last one closed for whole 2021 ). Source is Gronze who are normally very accurate with recent information.

Sahagun’s Marist parochial is open, and had a lovely community tea, and mass but no community dinner on 11/7. Leon on 12/7was open and very full, vespers with the sisters as usual. Yes. You read that right. 55k in a day. It’s one way through the end of the meseta. Skip the bus and walk for 12 hours. My daughters are exceedingly diligent pilgrims. Mass at Meliede tonight was full. Plenty of pilgrims gathering for meals at all stops on the Camino. Pulpo is great and crowded per usual.

For our upcoming camino, I asked one place that we stayed at before that offered a wonderful breakfast last time we stayed there whether the room price still includes breakfast. The response was that due to COVID restrictions, they no longer offer breakfast buffets, but will serve guests individual breakfasts. That works for me! Bob

I saw a photo today of the food that a pilgrim who is a cook helped the hospitalero prepare the other evening at the Parish Albergue in Logroño.
