Invierno in reverse

Anyone walked the invierno in reverse from SdeC?

Am looking to use this route as part of my trek from SdeC to Jerusalem next year.

Info on the ease of following against the arrows would be welcome

Ohhh that's gonna be a bit rough. Markings aren't the greatest on this route. I'm thinking maps and guide books will be your best bet. Maybe try and type things out in reversed order to make it easier to read? I know going thru it each step - backwards - each day would be a somewhat daunting task. IMHO! But still a lovely and beautiful walk. Good luck.

If you download the tracks to a map app on your mobile, it should be easy enough to walk any route in either direction. The resources section contains links to the GPS tracks for all caminos. Maybe download that and take a look. I had the English and Portuguese routes downloaded to the maps.me app and it worked great. Buen camino!

Just use the Wise Pilgrim app - it does not care which direction you walk.

As Mike says the Wise pilgrim app will show you the way but it did not always follow the marked camino. There were a lot of fresh painted yellow arrows, by the way.

I found the markings on this route much better than expected, so I think you will be ok. It's better marked than other routes I've experienced. Sounds like quite the looooong walk you have in mind. Enjoy!

Marking is great westwards, so it should not be too bad eastwards too. The only part where I found it a bit misleading was just past Lalin and its lovely riverside path, when you cross a motorway and an industrial area. Otherwise, marking is excellent.

I walked that part from Lalin to A Laxe in May this year and it was marked really well although in 2014 when I walked it for the first time the route was slightly different then it is now.

Interesting... I only did that caminos a few days after you, I found it confusing right after you leave the delightful riverside paths and have to turn right to a motorway, but I believe there are at least two routes signposted. We saw a turn to the right, but it was a mucky hell, so we chose to keep going (we had 2 different GPS tracks and one of them ignored that muddy track). Every camino has a few not so nice stretches, and that was one of them, but after that lovely walk by the river, anything goes!
BTW, in Lalín town itself, the marking is not the greatest either, but we are talking about two tiny spots in 280 km, not bad at all.

Amazing landscape, genuine locals, no pilgrim flavour at all, but it is is an unbelievable Camino indeed!

Well, there are only two major differences between my 2014 and 2018 Lalin-A Laxe walk.

First one is after you leave the parque fluvial and are pointed slightly uphill to the village. Four years ago I was directed a little bit to the right and then left and then I hit the major carretera. Now after the uphill arrows are pointing left (shorter way) to the carretera.

The crossing of the main carretera is at the parrilada. But the Camino now goes behind the first line of buildings in poligono industrial while four years earlier it turned down left to the main drag before the hotel. Now they diverted it and there's much less asphalt walking.
