Imbedding Youtube

Hi there, Ivar y amigos. I am trying to embed some music from Youtube into a posting. All that appears in the posting is the [youtube]+pasted embed code from youtube[youtube], not the actual music video for others to click on....??

It seems to be the URL that is the problem when embedded in BBCode (i.e. the special tags to allow images, videos, text formatting etc.). Looks like youtube have introduced a URL shortner youtu.be but BBcode doesn't interpret that as a youtube URL. Using the full URL does work.

This doesn't work

[youtube] + http://www.youtu.be/cTvgmZv0WAE + [/youtube]

This does (and should appear below the quoted text where it has been specified without the + signs)

[youtube] + http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTvgmZv0WAE + [/youtube]

[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTvgmZv0WAE[/youtube]

OK. Just don't bother with the surrounding [Youtube] tags and simply paste in the URL and it should embed only a link, rather than embed the YouTube player.

Hi there Skilsaw, the VdlP?....Winter, Oct-Dec 2009, a wonderful experience...yes, I love this piece too, the alto flute moments seem just 'right'.
