Time of past OR future Camino
Various routes 2016 - 2024
My daughter has recently decided to leave a job that she has grown to hate - they keep laying people off and expecting those remaining to take on the extra work among other things.
I really hope that she lands another job that she loves, but...I would love for her to be free to walk at least part of a Camino with me!

Train for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island March 16-19

I hope, for both of you, that it can happen. A lot can be resolved, with a good long walk

You are posting because we are your online friends! I walked the Vasco del Interior (Irun to Burgos) in October 2019, with my two daughters (in their early 30s). We only had 11 days to walk (they had more urgent traveling to do with their partners, afterward), and knew we wouldn't meet many other pilgrims, but it was a great experience. Consider just doing a 2-week portion if you can't get more time with her.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

Yes, I consider everyone here my online friends. 😊 I want to walk a fairly well traveled Camino with her, because I wouldn't mind if she met a peregrino amable along the way. 😉
We have talked in the past about doing San Sebastian to Bilbao on the Norte together one day, but I want to do the Norte/Primitivo in September, and she may be ensconced in a new job by then!

Hope you get a chance to walk together. Such a 'healing' journey.......

There's something about walking side by side with people that makes them open up and want to chat.
It has something to do with the rhythm of walking , and also the not looking at each other, or being distracted by life, tasks or deadlines.
Lots of people in the 'between times' (between jobs, between university and jobs, between life partners) do walk the Camino to help their clarity their thinking.
I don't know whether it helps in that respect but I do know that it makes you feel strong, and being away from your normal life gives you the chance to reflect on things, and often you do things on Camino that you wouldnt normally do. So I'm sure your daughter would benefit in that respect. And so much fun to go with her mother.
I hope she walks with you - I think you will both enjoy it.

Holoholo automatically captures your footpaths, places, photos, and journals.
Unfortunately, laying people off and expecting those remaining to do more seems to be all too common these days.

If I were between jobs this time of year, I would walk some of the southern Caminos, probably starting with the Via de la Plata.
