I just got my confirmation number! My flights are book and I am so excited. I think I just needed a kick to the petunia! lol. Funny how the fear and concerns disappear after you book. I'm sure there will be more concerns at some point. But I'm happy I did it. My camino has officially started!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
So when do you leave and where are you walking?

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Good for you. Hm! this is an interesting time to leave. Check out whether you can cross on the Napoleon route at this time. When i left in April it was closed due to heavy snow falls. Ask at the pilgrims Office in SJPD and heed the advice of the locals. You may have to take the Volcarlos route at this time. It too is a beautiful walk. Ah I am envious and my heart aches to get going again.
PS I had never walked in snow and it was a most pleasant experience.
Have faith and trust and you will amaze yourself. There will be others around you to walk with if that's what you choose. Have a look at the Calendar and put in your starting date.
Buen Camino

Yes I've had several warnings. It was the time that just pulled at my heart to start. I've put my starting date in the calendar (the new one, not sure if we're still posting in the old one), and I'm doing my best to prepare. I would so love to do the Napoleon route and am hoping against hope that I will be able to do so. But...if the valcarlos route it is, then I will take it as part of the trip and learning experience and enjoy myself regardless :)

Fantastic news Karen! Take joy in every step - with your training and on The Way itself. That first step on Day One is completely wonderful, incomparable, overwhelming, so many emotions ... you'll love it!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
