I LOVE these socks

I think it was falcon who several years ago introduced me to Sierra Trading Post and its fabulous sales. Since then I have bought nearly all my Camino clothing and some gear there.

Today, these socks cost about $7 a pair. They retail at $19 -- true, they are seconds, but I have bought these as seconds before and have never had a problem or have been able to see the imperfection.

In case you're wondering what's so great about them -- they have nice padding in the heel and toe areas, but there's not much bulk at all for the middle part of the foot. I found that it made a big difference in the comfort level of my feet not to be bunded up with thickness all over in the summer. Anyway, they have other smartwool socks really cheap on the website, but I think these are the best.

Yes, me too, I love Icebreaker and Smartwool.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
