I had my first Camino dream!

Time of past OR future Camino
May 2024
We were starting our walk, as a group, inside a cathedral. We toured the basement area and then went to an upper level where we were to eat a vegetarian meal before starting out on the walk. Pretty basic as far as dreams go, but I was tickled when I woke up that in my dream I noticed yellow arrows and my backpack felt good on my back. Anyone want to share a dream they've had of the Camino?

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
LOL. Lots of them.

Often when I can't get to sleep I imagine setting out from St Jean.
I rarely get past that initial steep section coming out of town before I'm asleep

I had one particularly vivid dream while I was on the camino - that I knew I was about to drown and I was completely calm and accepting of it. I'd much prefer to dream about walking;-)

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Came home from Santiago last weekend. Most nights I’ve woken during the night feeling disoriented and thinking that I am still on the Camino. Also, lots of dreams about leaving my wallet in albergues and worrying about it being stolen. Very strange.

When I have trouble falling asleep, and before my anti-anxiety medication kicks in, I mentally place myself departing an albergue or hostal on Camino. Instead of counting sheep, per se, I count steps, observations, and vivid memories of Caminos past. It never fails. I am sound asleep within 10 minutes.

I call it going to my "Happy place."

Hope this helps,

Tom
