THE FISHER’S TALE

Fishing writer and lifetime journalist Ted Lamb (The Penguin Book of Fishing, The Bait Book) had been planning to undertake a pilgrimage across Northern Spain for some time before his life was overtaken by a deep personal tragedy. In The Fisher’s Tale he recounts his inner feelings as well as the sights and experiences and lasting friendships forged along the Camino to Santiago de Compostela. It’s a book that will reawaken memories for past Camino pilgrims and hopefully encourage those who have wanted to walk to Santiago but have not yet taken the first step.
The Fisher’s Tale is currently available only as an Amazon Kindle book (visit http://www.ted-lamb-books.co.uk for details or go direct to http://www.amazon.co.uk and follow links to books, Kindle store).

I woke thinking “earthquake!” Above me - I was in a lower bunk in a tiny four-bunk room - a drunken Spaniard who believed he was the Messiah was violently shaking a terrified Frenchman opposite because the man had been snoring. The Frenchman’s wife below him (it was their wedding anniversary!) was looking up with apprehension. Surely it was all a nightmare ... then I started to remember: I was a pilgrim on the road to Santiago de Compostela, and what was happening was all very, very real.

Perfect memento/gift in a presentation box. Engraving available, 25 character max.
It is also available on Amazon in the US, also only on Kindle as far as I can tell.
