Hi there, does anyone have any advice on how to leave Conques and get to Sarlat? Is there a taxi one can book?thanks!

Holoholo automatically captures your footpaths, places, photos, and journals.
What route are you on?

The Via Podiensis. We end at Conques and then need to make our way to Sarlat la Cadena.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
I just noticed that spellcheck had its way with the word Conques! Confusing…

Rome2Rio app or website will be your best help. Also take a look at BlaBlaCar if no transit is available

Rome2rio didn’t help much, one still has no way to get out of Conques u less a taxi or private car is available, will try blabla thanks!

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
After an leg injury, I took a bus from Conques to Toulouse. It picked up in a small park above the albergue, I think it only operated once a day around mid-day. I was dropped off at the train station. There are trains from Toulouse to Sarlat.

Ask at the tourist office in Conques, but you're asking for an almost impossible task, as Conques is not that accessible and if driving, it will take you about 2 hours and 20 minutes, minimum. It might be best to get to a more reachable point of departure. One option might be to take the Malle Postale or a taxi to a more accessible spot where you can take a train/trains, bus, etc. It will likely take you half a day, at least. You could take the Malle Postale, say, to Cahors, and from there a train to Souillac and a taxi from there to your destination. Or maybe a taxi to Cransac and a train to Brive, then a train or bus to Sarlat? Taxis serving Conques are https://www.transports-lample-conques.fr/ and Taxi de Clairvaux Tel: 33 [0]6 83 50 33 98.

Bonjour @Pinomarion ... there are two taxi services at Conques : Taxis Lample 06 07.75.93.32 [try WhatsApp] and Conques Transport 06 45.98.17.44 ... both have websites where you might find further info. There is also a local bus service €2 [route no. 223] from the village to Rodez where you can pick up a train [download SNCF Connect app to do your research] ... but quite complicated to get to Sarlat-le-Caneda.
------
It will be a lot easier for you if you get to Figeac using the La Malle Postale shuttle ... OR you could try BlaBlaCar [download the app]
------
visit the Office de Tourisme at Conques ... they are generally very helpful and may be able to assist you if you haven’t already locked-in your travel plans ... good luck and bon chemin👣👣👣

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
We needed to skip a night between Conwues and Figeac so that we could be in a place that we could watch King Charles’s coronation.
We ordered a taxi which picked us up at the top of the town.
Very easy.
