Hello! We have about 8 or 10 days to walk. How long is the journey from Ponferrada and how long if we start in Sarria? Thank you kindly for the advice.

We walked from Ponferrada to Santiago in about 9 days This past April.

There's a bus from Ponferrada to Villafranca del Bierzo. Leaves Ponferrada once an hour on the half hour and takes, I think about a half hour to get there.You could then start in Villafranca, gaining a day's walk if your think you might be short of time.Anne
