Hoping for a miracle. I am on the Podiensis at Miramont Sensacq in the communal gite. Today I lost a hand knitted frog that my daughter made and is very special to me. If anyone behind me sees it could they please help me? Otherwise I will just hope he brings someone else joy and doesn't get run over by a tractor. Merci beaucoup. 💔💔💔

...I hope you recover your item....over the years I lost hats, sunglasses, socks. shoes, underwear (dont want that back!) but most precious of all, my lovely Swiss Army knife in a leather pouch somewhere on the Camino Frances...where are you now Swiss Army knife?? However, I did find a ten euro note trampled in the mud....somewhere on the CF, can't remember where exactly.....it was cold and raining...I had a very nice lunch later...

Ah , the things we lose. I remember some years back leaving an albergue early one morning and went on my way down a path. I think it was the morning yawn that enlightened me .Why was there a howling gale whistling down my throttle where the teeth used to be ? Yep, they were missing! I burst out laughing when I remembered I had hidden them under my pillow! Did I go back? Nope, I had spares in the ruck! It can be fun getting old :)

Samarkand.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Update: a pilgrim who is a day behind but walking much faster volunteered to look for him today and found him!!!! He is only 7km from where I am tonight and I am only walking a little over 10km tomorrow so he will catch up and hand off my little frog who decided to go on his own Camino for a while. It's truly a miracle for me and this man is a true Camino angel!!!

These are few things you can do to help you stop losing gear and also have it returned to you if you do leave it behind.

1. Try to putting things together when you stop for a rest.

2. Try to put thing on the side you are leaving from. For example if you are on a bus or train put you poles, bags on the aisle side.

3. When ever you leave a place also have a mum’s look around to make sure you have not left anything.

4. Label everything with your name and email address.

That's fantastic that you have been reunited! I'd love to see a picture of the little fella. 😊

I didn't mention that it was an item that fell out of my pack while walking. Thanks for the tips!

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
I lost my Swiss Army knife at work. It was a huge place that I was always all over. A year later I walk into the break room. Someone had taken the TV and placed it on a table that hadn't been there before. There was a table cloth between the TV and the table and there was a lump under the cloth. I was curious and took a look. It was my knife.
