Hi there. On the coastal Portugués route right now. Currently in Viana Do Castelo and trying to decide if I should take the Senda Litoral route tomorrow to Vila Praia Ancora? Any suggestions). Thanks. Barbara

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Personally, I like the Senda Litoral through that stretch as the Coastal is largely road walking through built-up areas (at least up until the Carreço area). However, if there is wind / rain coming in off the ocean, the Senda Litoral can be unappealing at this time of year.

How's your walk going so far?

Good advice! The weather has been amazing! Senda Litoral it will be. My walk has been excellent thank you. Barbara

Just completed the coastal route including the Wanda litoral; it was amazing. Even had a swim in the sea on Sunday... Beautiful route!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
I am planing on doing the Coastal route in Portugal next may and would like to do it over 10-12 days, I have read that starting from Mathosinhos is recommended, has anyone got a route plan and distances. I did 130k of the French Way this year from San Jan to Estella so Im no stranger to walking upto 27k some days but dont want that everyday
