You are very fortunate to have night vision. Others like me, rely on a headtorch - a necessary item to find arrows, prevent vertigo issues which I suffer from in low light, and generally find my way.
My 'night' vision gives me vague shapes only, and no colour at all, so without a headlamp I would not see the arrows.

I know its easy to assume that everyone experiences the world the way you do, but that is not the case.

Thank you @Anamiri! That simple clear statement could be applied in so many topics on this forum. All those people who know you don’t/ do need a sleeping bag, boots/ trail runners, Orujo/Aquarius.

And for all those who grew up seeing the world different you said it all. I’ll just add that just because it’s easy that doesn’t justify doing it

Just another idea. I too worry about being seen by road traffic in poor light.
Reflective tape on your poles (if you use them) and I have small 'key fob' sizes tags made of similar tape hanging off my pack.

(The blue paint is merely to differentiate my poles from Pats)
