Unique. We of the Forum are indeed unique. Witness the many reasons we accept the challenge, or just the opportunity to walk the Way. Consider the initial concerns: am I fit enough, am I dedicated enough, am I self-assured enough to take on this challenge. Is my reason for attempting the Camino religious, spiritual or just a cheap vacation. Is the reason now at the steps of the Cathedral the same; or has the Camino remolded my initial intent into a realization that I have received more than I had imagined and experienced more than I had hoped when I set out.
Did I ignore the sage and valuable insight and suggestions of those on the Forum prior to departing? Only to realize after the initial five days that maybe they were not smug in their knowledge, but rather willing to share their experience.
I submit, just making the decision to walk the Way, for whatever reason, makes one unique.
