I took over 3,000 photos - the good ones that I saved - while on my Camino. I walked from St. Jean to Santiago in April - May 2013. However, NONE of my photos were as dramatic and wonderful as the one above.

Once I returned "home," I categorized the photos into six or so major segments of the journey. I can play them as a slide show. But, I have found that for anyone who has not been on a Camino, offering to show those pictures as a slideshow, even on an large-screen HDTV, was usually the fastest way to clear a room.

So I posted about 2,400 of the best photos, again in west to east segments, as private web links to my Picasa / Google account online, and provide the links to people who ask to see them. I return to them occasionally to refresh my spirit. But then I get depressed because I am here, and not there. Oh well, only 3.5 months to go until the next journey...:)

If anyone is interested, I will happily provide the links. You cannot get to the photos without the encrypted links. You can send me a PM / conversation and then we can switch over to e-mail if that is easier. Just include your e-mail in the PM.

Happy New Year to all!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I just added Santiago to my list of places to spend a future New Years Eve...thanks for sharing this photo!

I can certainly recommend spending New Year's Eve in Santiago! I got back Thursday night after walking from Sarria- Santiago with 5 hospitalera friends. We had a great time and were quite surprised how many pilgrims were in the albergues although we didn't see them during the day walking.
We shared Nee Year's Eve dinner in San Martin Pinario with 50+ other pilgrims then ate our 12 grapes in the Plaza do Obradeiro while watching fireworks.
