I'd be grateful if anyone walking or cycling the CDN could advise the current ground conditions, what effect has the rain had on the surface.

Thank you and I hope you are all having an amazing time. We are leaving tomorrow. Buen Camino!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Hmm, most of the cyclists route on the Norte is on tarmac or other paved surfaces. You really wouldn’t want to take a bike over Purgatorio or many of the other coastal & off-road alternatives. Unless you like carrying your bike that is..

Tincatinker is absolutely correct: most of your ride will be on roadways. The few downhills suitable for a bike are muddy right now in the Llanes area, but the CdN is 800+ kms so it’s impossible to tell you the conditions over the entire route or when you eventually reach an area. Where you might find mud, there is always a nearby roadway

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc

We are going to bike it the first time, sorry (but we are mindful of walkers :)). If there are any folks w biking experience…we are trying to settle the pedal assist e-bike or mountain bike...
Hope to do st Jean de port to finisterre in September 24 on bike. To buy a bike in Ireland and transport or buy in France. Any thoughts welcomed
Is there a dedicated guide for cyclists that suggests alternatives to the rocky/steep parts of the trail? I found a link to a 2018 one on another thread, but it is no longer available.
