This Via De La Plata Facebook page has lots of great VDLP information especially about food and where to sleep. It is in Spanish but I think it is pretty easy to figure out.

The list is very easy to read and tells you if the albergue/hostel is open or closed and what services it provides.
I am sure that this list is completely accurate as it is published by the association that these establishments are a part of.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
