I came across this article in my morning reading and research...something I do everyday. The article...

Is quite good. However, as it is written more for wilderness through-hiking, as opposed to village to village Camino hiking, various "adjustments" need to be made.
For example, when it speaks to the "10 Essentials" many of them are extraneous and add useless weight for a Camino. Also, discussions of gear like tents, food and water purification are, similarly in excess of Camino demands.
As a Camino veteran, I found most of the recommendations to be sound and wise.
So, do read the article, but DO consider the Camino context. Remember that in general. "less is more..."
