What options are available for getting back to Biarritz from Santiago after you reach the end?

So far I've found a train to bus option but it seems to run very infrequently. I was hoping to get back to Biarritz on June 12 and the only train/bus is June 6 from what I could see.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I've just had a look at RENFE, they do a service to Hendaye 3 times a day from Santiago, from there you can bus or train to Biarritz which is not to far.
Also have you considered flying?

Hope this helps

Thank you! This is very helpful. Do I need to book the bus ticket in advance or would I be fine getting it the day of when I'm ready to leave?

Its probably a bit too early for the 12 June Schedule. The schedule won't be complete more than 4 weeks in advance. It doesn't change much; you can use this weeks schedule for planning.

Renfe train from Santiago to Irun/Hendaye.

If your train does not terminate in Hendaye ... take Euskotren Metro Donostialdea from Irun/Colon to Hendaia. Colon station is across the bridge over the railway tracks east of Irun Renfe Station. Hendaia is co-located with Gare d'Hendaye.

Transports64 Euskadi Express bus #816 from Gare d'Hendaye to Biarritz Airport. Or,

SNCF train from Gare d'Hendaye to Gare Biarritz and Chronoplus bus #C from Gare Biarritz to Anglet/Biarritz Airport.

Alternatively, fly Santiago to Madrid and Madrid to Biarritz.

You might want to book a Santiago - Irun/Hendaye train seat a few days in advance as it sometimes fills up. Worst case is you wait a day.

There is frequent bus/train traffic from San Sebastian to Bayonne via Irun and Biarritz ... so no need to buy in advance for this leg.

Just so you know, the train journey Santiago-Irun is over 11 hours, and the bus journey is over 13 hours, so you might want to break it up into two legs! Unless you don't mind that amount of time in a vehicle, although I imagine after your camino you'll be tearing your hair out couped up inside for so long... The alternative is to fly direct to Bilbao from Vigo airport - Biarritz is only about 2 hours from here via bus or train.

Hello! I’ve been browsing the forum and there’s plenty of info for baggage transfers from stage to stage, where you pick it up daily, give it back and move on, however what I’m after is a service...
