Can one who take a taxi on the last stage to Santiago after having walked 100 kms still be qualified to get the camino certificate?

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Well, one is supposed to actually walk the last 100 km. in order to receive a Compostela.
One can take a taxi/bus/train before that, but not during the last 100 km.

But, if you've walked all the way from St. Jean (or Pamplona, Burgos, Léon, ...) and have collected your daily stamps untill (for example) O Pedrouzo, no one in the pilgrim office will be able to determine if you have actually walked those last 19 km.

Some might say this would be cheating, but I don't have an opinion about that (I don't know the circumstances you're in).

So no judgement from this side...

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
I’m just finishing the Camino tomorrow the 21 of November. I walked almost all of the CF, including the last section from Sarria. Does it matter if you don’t get the Compostela the day you walk into Santiago but wait a day or two? November 22 has special significance for me.
Eight years ago I last walked the Camino from SJDP but got horribly ill after Sarria. The last 4 villages I couldn’t walk at all. When I went to at least get the sello stamped, the gentleman was almost in tears saying he couldn’t give me the certificate because I missed the last 30 mikes or so but walked about 470 miles. I honestly didn’t care. He gave me an honorary certificate which I treasure just as much as the authentic Compostela. He was such a beautiful man who made the entire Camino worth it.
This is my fourth and probably last Camino. It was wonderful, solitary with very few pilgrims, but grueling on my body as I just turned 68 on day one!!

You can wait as long as you want.

Can one who take a taxi on the last stage to Santiago after having walked 100 kms still be qualified to get the camino certificate?
Not sure what you mean by "last stage", but even if you are disabled with documentation to demonstrate it, you still need to make your way along the Camino somehow.

Those travelling to Santiago for pilgrimage purposes by taxi are still pilgrims, but even the disabled must seek to follow the Way of Saint James as a foot pilgrim would for those specific Compostela purposes.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

You know whether you have completed a Pilgrimage. The paper's just a memento or souvenir, or perhaps it's proof. But why?

..let those without sin cast the first stone...
Sin or no sin it is just the rules that have been decided upon. I have some of my own issues about walking and compostelas but it doesn't really matter or add to any discussion here on the forum. It is just 100K. Just walk it. If you can't no problem but no compostela. it will give the person motivation to come back again if they really want one. But then again I may have misinterpreted what your intention is. If so nevermind haha
