Getting a Compostela one year later?

I walked the VDLP last spring but didn’t go into the pilgrim office to get a Compostela when I finished. Just wondering if I can show them my credencial next time I'm in Santiago and get one then? Or can I mail it to them? Is there an expiration when it’s too late to get one?

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
The Pilgrims Office at Santiago de Compostela, in behalf of the Cathedral, provides the last and closing stamp on your credencial signifying you have completed your pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. I believe that as long as the Pilgrims Office has not closed your credencial, you can obtain your Compostela any time.; in person. Buen Camino.
