- Time of past OR future Camino
- Most years since 2012
I have been an occasional lurker on this forum for years and am now ready to join in!
A sister-in-law (or two) and I are planning to walk about 200 km of the camino, starting in late October. We'd like the satisfaction of arriving in Santiago even though we don't have time or confidence yet for a long route. Maybe next year we will! We are in our 60s. I speak Spanish fairly well.
What route would you recommend at this time of year? We are thinking of Porto to Santiago. On the other hand, we don't speak Portuguese. Would the weather be better in Portugal than on the other routes? How busy would all the routes be in October-November? (I'm not enthusiastic about racing to find accommodation, but also don't want to be totally isolated on the trail.)
Any advice you have would be appreciated! Thank you.
