Time of past OR future Camino
Friday 22 july
Is anyone in Bayonne on:
- the 22nd of july after 9:30pm or
- on the 23rd of July in the morning
We (2 people) are trying to start the path as sono as possible but the way to SJPdP seams to be hard by train (the only one is at 8am on 7/23 …toooooo late)
We would love to share a taxi or any ride on 7/22 late in the evening or on 7/23 early in the morning.
Let us know
Love to everyone

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Where are you planning to walk to on your first day? The 8:16 out of Bayonne gets you to St Jean 9:17 giving you plenty of time to visit the Pilgrims Office, enjoy the town and walk to Orisson, Borda or Valcarlos. Unless you are very short of time I would advise start slowly: Santiago isn't going anywhere

Hi i don’t know if this is any help to you. EXPRESS BOURRICOT is a company I have used on 3 occasions to get SJPDP it is a ride share I used them from Biarritz airport….Bayonne is very close…. €130 to SJPDP the more people who share the cheaper the cost. ….

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Thank you for your kind reply! We’re not short on time, we are only very excited to start our Camino! Overall, we don’t want to tie us up with a reservation and discover, on our way, new possibilities with the others fellow Pelegrinos!
Actually, everyone is just saying us to take it easy and start slowly… but our hearts say to follow the Providence!
Lots of love,
Maria&Elena

That’s very useful, thanks David! Now we are in touch with Express Bourricot, we hope to find more Pilgrims in order to share the ride.

Lots of love,

I know you are excited and that's fantastic but ....

Your hearts might be saying this and so might your mind, but your body and feet may have other ideas later.

Have you heard about the story of the hare and the tortoise?

I have seen many hares depart on their Camino on Day one, leaving lots of tortoises, such as I in their wake.

Three days or so down the Camino, I have seen hares hobbling or limping painfully along, or worse, sitting at bus stops waiting for a bus to go home because of injury and blisters and other ailments. You will see this too, no doubt.

Tincatinker's words are wise and knowing.

Temper your heart, start slowly and let your body adjust and merge with what your heart wants and after a week or so, you'll be flying along happily for sure.

Buen Camino!
