From Barcelona to St. Jean

I have seen this question been asked before, but the answers have been so outdated I think I have to ask it again.

So hello everyone. I have booked my flight already and I'm meeting my friend in Barcelona on 21st of May. We should get to St. Jean somehow, hopefully with the cheapest way possible that doesn't mean walking the whole way (let's save that for the Camino itself) :lol: Some suggestions have guided to take a train to Pamplona and then a bus to St. Jean. The problem is that the company that used to have a bus connection between those two towns seems to be out of business (or the connection just doesn't exist anymore, I don't know)...

So, if anyone knows about a bus company that'd have a route between Pamplona and St. Jean or could suggest an alternative route, please share.

Thank you in advance

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Vibasa.com is still quoted on the Movelia.com website. Maybe they are having a problem with the website? You could get a train to Hendaye and then a local bus/train to Biarrits and St Jean.

I had a look at the Barcelona Bus Station website and it seems that Vibasa are still in operation. Here is the bus timetable from this webiste: http://www.barcelonanord.com/

Hi
I plan to start Camino frances on June 1st this year. My travel plan from Barcelona to SJPP is as follows:
Plane lands on Mai 31st at 10:40 a.m. at Prat T1.
Bus shuttle from T1 ->T2 takes 15' and runs every 6-7'.
Train (Cercanias) from T2 -> Sants train station 11:08->11:27, or 11:38->11:57
Train (RENFE) from Sants -> Pamplona 12:10 -> 16:06
Bus (ALSA) from Pamplona -> SJPP 17:30 -> 19:15

Do you think it's doable ?

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc

No chance at all for the 1108 Cercanius. Very low probability of catching the 1138 Cercanius.

In my experience planes almost never arrive on time. Also planes usually count arrival time as the point at which wheels touch the runway ... not the point at which the doors open.

1040 - 1138 = 58 minutes for landing deboarding customs baggage orientation wait for shuttle ride shuttle get from shuttle to Cercanius. I wouldn't consider it.

Si yo fuera tu ... catch the 1530 Barcelona to Irun. It arrives there 2133 ... too late to catch any trains to Bayonne. You can catch the Euskotren from Irun to Hendaye and the SNCF train from Hendaye to Bayonne in the AM 2 June. From Bayonne to SJPdP there are 4 trains per day.
