More for Those experienced with the Portuguese, I think.... but really tasty for anyone.
Well, I have been trying to recreate this marvel since March of 2016 as a few mis-steps in Cebreiro days before SdC delivered me to a bus trip down to Porto rather than a walk onto the coast and I had few other options that came to mind....
REAL CHICKENS or smaller is the key! Not the 4-6 pound Frankensteins available in USA (and maybe other) markets! I have tried and they just do NOT work.....
Last weekend, I saw some Cornish Hen's (22 oz/620 g each) available on discount and resolved to try again. The result of minimal work, with proper sized birds, had my Beloved heaping kudos upon me....and she does not like "spicy".
Though I would like to attribute the original author, my security software blocks me. You may find her by web-searching the recipe title.
The recipe handles two game hens of the size given above, easily. It will accommodate three birds by just increasing the "sauce" part of the recipe by 40-50%.
