I am working with a camino old-timer to update a classic Camino book, and suddenly we find ourselves short two photos of Castile... no more churches! We cried. Everyone likes cuisine!
Does any of you have excellent, hi-res pictures of garlic soup, cocido, tortilla, and/or lechazo, and doesn´t have to be paid in money for your talents? (the author is using her own pictures, and the publisher wants tons of pictures but won´t pay for them.)

Please let me know ASAP.

Hi
Just yesterday my brother was showing me some photos of his Camino walk. He went with his wife a couple years ago. There at the end of the long line of castles, flowers, landscapes and cows was an entire section of the foods they ate. Some were great photos some notso much. Seafood meats soups breads and (I was drooling by now) flan.
I will ask them if they would like to share some photos of the best stuff. If you don’t here back from me it will probably mean I didn’t hear back from them. I’ll try to get back to you by the end of today.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
My pics aren’t as good as the above, but maybe they could be made better with the magic of photoshop??

All this food is making me hungry. I leave for the Norte in 2 weeks, More pictures below . A delicious 50th birthday salad in. Sarria. Really fresh seafood to include local fish and squid in muxia and pulpo and of course yummy desserts and the bread makers . Yes Pulpo and beyond Pulpo below the Pulperia Ezequel in Melede serves a local speciality of local meats..not for the faint of heart my eyes were too large for my tummy but it was delicious .

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Mmmmm.....food porn....

This is a garbanzo bean soup. It was served in the western part of Spain. My brother and sister in law did a slide presentation on their Camino when they got home. It was for a bunch of dieticians. Bro told me they had a million questions about the food.
This was the best photo they took but there are many more if you want them.BFBA1036-14F8-439B-BADC-E94F3E298317.webp

holy moly! these are some great photos and I think everyone should be required to include which restaurant / bar they ate in
some look tempting (esp Easygoing that last meal)

I'm no help, because when faced with Sopa de Ajo, the last thing I want to do is photograph it.
Word to the wise: never get between me and the Sopa de Ajo.
And tortilla...most unfortunately, I'm sorry to say I've taken it for granted. 😕

I hope you get the beautiful pics you need, @Rebekah Scott !

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Enjoy! Yum!

Roast suckling lamb in Burgos. (above).

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
I’ll add a few to the mix, finishing up in SdC tomorrow, better net connection than where I am today. These pictures already have me looking forward to lunch today!

Is there a specific dish you are looking for?

Does any of you have excellent, hi-res pictures of garlic soup, cocido, tortilla, and/or lechazo, and doesn´t have to be paid in money for your talents? (the author is using her own pictures, and the publisher wants tons of pictures but won´t pay for them.)

Please let me know ASAP.
