Emirates are now flying from Australian Capital cities to Madrid. Earlybird flights can be booked before Nov 30.

Sydney-Madrid rtn $1762.00. Only 24hrs flying time.

I am booked on an Emirates flight leaving Melbourne at 9.30pm on Friday, April 15. Arrives Madrid at about 1.45pm local time on Sat, 16th. Got a great price through one of the many things Emirates support (not Collingwood). Arrive in time for the Real Madrid - Barcelona FC derby, but the price of that ticket might be more than the flight! Will just have to find a bar somewhere. :D
