Flights in Europe/UK - need to book in advance?

Hi there, I still haven't booked my flight back from Santiago to London to get my connecting flight back to Australia. Do I need to book in advance (not knowing exactly when I'll arrive in Santiago??) or should I be able to get a seat (Santiago to London) with Ryanair for instance on the spot, or for the next couple of days? Please advise if you can... Many thanks!

Well ...the sooner you book the less you spend. Plus the more you wait the less likely you are to find a ticket specially if like me you are going in the HOT most "trafficated" time... I finally planed my first Camino by booking the return fight first since I am not listening  and going to be there the 25/07/2010 at the cost of doing only the last 100 km with a new "credenziale" and sleeping in my tent  I'll try my best to do the cammino France from St. Jean Pied de Port on foot (arriving via Bayonne/ Paris / Novara Italy (my home town) by Train /RER /TGV.
I have to be back to my work on the 29/07 so this is the best plan i could come up with...but we each have our own camino in mind...ULTREYA !e Buen Camino!!!

Ryanair are not cheap as time gets closer to your departure date, as previous poster said book early its cheaper, if you have a day to spare what harm enjoy santiago and the hospitality

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).

Hello! I’ve been browsing the forum and there’s plenty of info for baggage transfers from stage to stage, where you pick it up daily, give it back and move on, however what I’m after is a service...
