2015 Camino Frances 2016 Camino Portuguese 2017 del Norte and Primitivo 2017 Via Francegina 2018.
starting from Irun along del Norte then through to primitivo to finesterre.
Leaving in less than three weeks now.

Few questions:
Landing in Bilbao. planning on staying in Irun municipal.

Can we definitely get our credentials there? I've none this time.
Are there any good PDF online guides for the del Norte primitivo or finesterre? (I've downloaded one.)

Is the weather ok in July? I'm hoping some decent sunny weather ( but expect a little wet weather)

Is there a possibility the Irun albergues could be completo?

Any nice blogs to recommend about del Norte or primitivo?

Thanks guys.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Yes, you can definately get a credential at the Irun albergue. I think the albergue opens at 4pm.
Its a great albergue and a wonderful place to begin the camino.
Good luck

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
If Irun is full, you can walk onto Hondarribia 5km further. Either way, go into the Albergue at Irun, as they have the credential and usually a current list of open hostels.

My phone map keeps throwing up albergue martindozenea in Irun. Is this the municipal?

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

No it is not the municipal albergue identified in the above post; the albergue Martin Dozenea is a youth hostel.

Oh that's great guys. We're looking at an arrival in Irun around 8pm. I see the municipal has 48 beds. Any idea of the likelihood of it being full on July 1st?

No idea! But you are starting your Camino on Canada Day! So that must be good luck!

I will shamelessly plug my Primitivo blog which I'm still updating. I just finished walking on May 27th but didn't get back home until June 7th. I need 3 more posts to finish it and that should be done this Friday. Hope you enjoy it. I'm also going to add another post about all the equipment that worked (my backpack) and didn't work (my low cut hiking shoes) for me.
