CF decision thru miraculous processes……

I will go CF from Pamplona fm the last week of March 2018. I would like to share my story about CF decision.

When I returned to my country after traveling in Europe in April-May 2016, a voice kept whispering in my mind: go to Portugal again. Since Portugal is very far away, it’s not sensible to visit again within short time. So I leave the decision of go or no-go to God: if Portugal team could go to final stage in UEFA 2016, I will go (by thinking Portugal was not one of the winning teams, even though having the superstar C Ronaldo).

However, Portugal won marginally from group stage and went further step by step into final. At final, I witnessed the miracle as Eder strike at 109th minute after Ronaldo’s early injury. According to the final match statistics, France had better performance, but it seemed there was an invisible veil keeping France from strike.

Portugal not only went into final, but won their 1st national champion! Then, I know God’s message and will keep my word.

Before leaving Lisbon last year, I went to Marquess of Pombal Square and to the top of Eduardo VII park again, looking towards to the river where I could feel the soul of this city and country. 2 months later at the same spot, Ronaldo n his team hold their first trophy for Portugal. After the final, I even dreamed that I went into a very big bright white house and saw Ronaldo in white shirt.

After Lisbon, I went to Porto by bus stopping at Fatima bus station for 5 minutes. I know the 3 prophecies from Santa Maria in 1917. I like to visit Fatima but because of time, just bought a small souvenir of Santa Maria statue at the station shop. I wonder if God know my wish to visit Fatima again?

I will keep my word to go to Portugal again, but still no idea about CF then.

Later on, I happened to watch the movie ‘I’m off Then’ about Hape Kerkeling. The movie inspired me to try CF. But, after considering the long long walk, I gave up. My friend asked me to watch the movie ‘A Walk in the Woods’ by Robert Redford n Emma Thompson. I thought it was similar to I’m off Then, so refused to watch. Half a year later, whenever I turned on HBO movie channel, just saw ‘A Walk in the Woods’ again again n again! This movie changed my mind: Robert Redford could, why couldn’t I?

Preparation for CF is another issue. I happened to buy a CF guidebook from Ivar online store (not fm Amazon!). Thank Ivar for introducing me to this forum where many pilgrims share their valuable experiences which is key to my CF decision.

I’m not a Catholic nor Christian either. However, after visiting Portugal n Spain last year, Santa Maria is in my heart. I can feel her power and love since then, leading me to Camino Frances and Fatima again.

Thank you for your patience for my story.

Merry Christmas!

Dear Mai thank you for sharing with us your mysterious ways to “your Caminho”.
No one can be 100% sure that the miracles of Fatima really happened, or that the bones in Compestela are from the apostole Santiago... But from my pilgrim experience I know the miracales do happen every day on the Caminho. People change there life’s, become better humans, take care of nature and others, learn there limits...
So independently of what is your religion... “Where there is a will there is a way” and you are the proof.

Happy new year with beautiful Caminhos

Dear Cerqueira, thank you for reading my story.
I would like to say that Ronaldo n his team played very well in UEFA 2016, but to win a champion needs a miraculous touch by God. Same to any team.

Iberia is a special land where I could feel God n Santa Maria all around.

The Caminho.com.pt is very good n informative, thanks!
To go any camino, not for any miracles nor for changes, but to open one’s heart, I think.

May you have a wonderful & happy New Year!

Best Regards
Mai
