Does anyone have any recent experience staying at the MONASTERY OF SAINT BENEDICT in Estella?
(aka ‘Monasterio San Benito‘)

I’ve tried emailing to make a reservation and don’t get a reply. Also whatsapp doesn’t accept their phone number.
Just wondering if the Hostel there is still happening.

You could try WhatsApp-ing a neighboring lodging in the same town, to ask about the monastery situation.

I looked at it for winter and it was not open at that time.

Update: They got back to me - not taking reservations during April 24' it seems:
"No, no está cerrado. Pero hay varias cosas pendientes que nos hacen tomar esta decisión por ahora, en estos meses. Gracias!"

Hope you are able to stay at Monasterio San Benito. We did in 2016 and it was such a highlight of my Camino!
